Then on the side, you will see (PlayerStateData) Click the little + next to it then scroll all the way down till you see (SeasonalData) And click the + again now find (Stages) and click on it not the + this time. once you have done that click on edit next to file and click edit raw JSON.
Once you have got the save file return to the main menu and now open the save editor and open your expedition save in it. I already bought my S-class ships myself and just want to like how they look haha.Well, that is downloading start no man's sky and start a new expedition Save game then head on over to your ship and get in and out to make a save game DO NOT CLAIM THE REWARDS TILL WE HAVE EDITED THE SAVE FILE. I'd rather not use seeds for ships either, but since you can't customize your ships at ALL, meh.
I personally don't mind grinding and don't like cheating in money, a better ship, etc. I mainly only use it for little things that I think are kind of stupid how they're currently set up in the game. I use the save editor to move tech/upgrades, move slots themselves on ships instead of being stuck with the weird randomly placed ones, increased storage in the big storage units and used a seed for the appearance of my multi-tool and some of my ships.
Dont want to spend days searching for drop pods to upgrade your Exosuit inventory slots, the Save Editor can do it at the push of a key. There's no button in the Editor to edit out boredom, and if you use the editor too much or without proper thought, boredom is exactly what you'll get. Building and upgrading my ships and multitools along the way have been totally satisfying. I've almost 100 hours in this save now and I'm very happy with it. Why spend hours grinding for units or nanites when you can add them to your inventory at the click of a button? Why the endless search for resources when the editor is right there? Or squirrelling away rare resources to repair your ship when the editor has a Repair All button? I've done all these things and have used the Editor to "fix" the game and that killed it for me.Įven with being able to get or build anything I wanted, my best game so far is the one I'm playing now an unedited save (except for max slot extended exosuit storage because I hate having to do constant resources management). The Save Editor does what you tell it to do, which might not be what your really want it to do. The editor can be used to overhaul that old C Class Hauler to a 48+12 S Class Hauler with every upgrade known to Traveler, even a bobble head doggie for your back window. But if you've just found a Class C hauler you'd just love to fix up and keep but cant afford to, then the Save Editor is quite handy. If you were to use the editor to add these BPs and items to your inventory prior to that step in the base building unknown and possibly devastating consequences might happen. Example: Many BPs and items are acquired during the base building quest phase of the game. That said, its totally possible and quite easy to mess up your quests and goals. If you edit under the Main, Exorsit, Multitool, etc tabs, you edits are pretty well limited to the Hard Stops built into the game and although possible, its quite hard to mess up your save. The Save Editor is quite benign if you stay away from the Edit Raw JSON section.
